One Million Crickets Pixel Ads is purely an experiment in micro-advertising.

"Crickets" are available in 100 pixel 'blocks', with each block measuring 10x10 pixels, with this page divided into 10,000 of these blocks. Anything smaller than 10x10 pixels would be too small for the eye to see.

Each 10x10 block normally costs US$1, equating to a cost of $0.01 per pixel. You can buy as many blocks of pixels as you like, as long as there are some available. On some days we will drop our price to "free," which means you can place your pixel ads at no cost whatsoever! Please read all of the following Terms & Conditions before you buy - purchases are non-refundable. (Asking price for crickets is subject to change at any time.)

• This system is beta, which means unforseen problems can and will occur. We will do our very best to keep this page problem free. However, OneMillionCrickets.com will not be responsible for any problems which arise that cause downtime, errors, or otherwise.
  
• While we will do our very best to make sure that every person in the world will see this site by actively promoting and marketing One Million Crickets. However, we make absolutely no guarantees or representations regarding impressions, clicks, or performance.
• The minimum purchase is normally $1 (100 pixels), and the maximum purchase is the remainder of pixels left. (Asking price for crickets is subject to change at any time.)
  
• When you 'buy' Pixel Ads you do not 'own' any part of OneMillionCrickets.com, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image and link which will then be published in the respective space you have paid for.
  
• You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them, so you must be sure of the image & link you want on OneMillionCrickets.com. You image, link and ALT text will be displayed for 1 year.
  
• Purchases are final - if your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage, you cannot get a refund.
  
• No inappropriate/obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted. We decide what is appropriate. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose your pixels.
  
• If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind.
  
• If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become available again.
  
• Images must be the exact size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels = 10x10 pixels)
  
• Images must be in GIF or JPEG format, and a reasonable file size.
  
• Animated Images will NOT be accepted.
  
• Links must be to web pages only and begin with http://
  
• You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit.
  
• Funds must be fully received and cleared before your pixels go live.
  
• Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared, we will do our best to get your pixels online within 24-48hrs. In most (but not all) cases your pixels will appear immediately.
